  • We started with a press of 1000. After that pressing sold out we pressed another 1000. The band wanted to change the cover so we did. So there were two different covers for this 7″.

I first saw these guys when we did a homeless benefit SK8 Jam/show at a rickety old skatepark in Kenosha, WI. Within one days notice ‘The Motherfuckers’ agreed to play and had no problem with donating all the proceeds to a Homeless shelter in Milwaukee and one in Kenosha. (Instead of charging to get in we asked people bring some non perishable food items.) Unfourtunatly I only got to see a few songs. The singer (Booger) yanked down his pants. When the owner of the park told him to pull them up Booger simply yelled into the mic “Fuck you were done playing. You saw The Motherfuckers play now go home!” He then proceedd to knock over the drum kit and was stopped just shy of knocking down the bassist rig! Well that was it they were done playing. Even thought they only played a few songs they stood out and in fact sold all the merch they had brought with them..

These guys were very intense and put on quit a stageshow , but they were really tight and very talented. Plus they were playing early style crossover. Which at the time was a very rare thing. Plus they skated. All this was a perfect match with our label. A week or so latter I asked them to do a 7″ and they agreed.

The bass player had a little studio in his baasement were they recorded the 7″. They brought in a local guy ‘Tikee Kinis’ to engineer it and he made that little basement studio sound like a full blown profesional setup!

The 7″ came out. Got great reviews (Tim Yo the founder of MRR even compared it to early MDC). This was the first totally un PC band we put something out for. In fact you had to send a signed age statement saying you were 18 to order this from us. The PC people seemed to hate them , but at the same time alot of that seemed to be out of jeolousy of all the attention ‘The Motherfuckers’ were getting, the fact that their shows were always packed and of their talent.Yeah these guys were out of control , but at the same time were some of the nicest guys you could meet.

The Motherfuckers were gaining quit a name for themselves and a tour down south and out east soon followed. Exposing even more people to this ‘Drunk Punk a go go’ out of control band.Things seemed to be going well but it would be quit sometime before another release came out.
