The DRI Guys are back in Houston for another round of practice before our upcoming shows. WOW! What an improvement over the last round of practices! Everyone did their homework. See y’all in the pit!

Here is the latest news from ‘Head On Collision’ courtesy of their guitarist Pat……
Well, September was a bummer. 5 days in the ol’ Warbus gave us some big problems. We limped our way back home and traded it in on a van with only 14,000 miles on it. Of course I had to fork over some big bucks as well. Now I’m coming up with those freakin’ sales taxes. Ouch! Either way, we’re ready for the road again. We’ll be doing just 3 more dates this year. Here are the dates.

So we’ve had like 10 rough songs we’ve been working on in between tours through out the year. I have 4 more in the bag now as well. We’ve been taking our time with this and trying to get the best quality we possibly can out of this material. We’ve now got the drum mic’s where we want them and the machines are rolling. We’re only a few songs in of just drums. We aren’t rushing this time! We’ll likely have this finished sometime in December. Beer City plans on releasing another full length in May of 2010. Some other releases may be in the works as well.
We plan on going on a tour to support this release starting in early May as well. This tour will be about 40 days or so long, hitting most of the U.S. Joining us on parts of this tour will be Satyrasis from Michigan and Invection from the Bay Area. We’re looking for some East Coast thrashers that might be willing to join us on the East Coast leg of the tour. Get in touch if this sounds interesting!

As we were saying last time D.R.I. had just practiced for the first time in quit awhile. Here is a video of one song from practice and then a shot of the guys. Both were taken with Spike’s mobile phone.
