Were very happy to announce after all these years all the classic D.R.I. releases are now out and available once again on vinyl. Not just any vinyl but colored vinyl at that! Included are both D.R.I. 7’s which were only pressed once on vinyl!

D.R.I. celebrates 28th anniversary!

We would like to wish D.R.I. a happy 28th anniversary! Just think 28 years of thrash/metal; numerous ground breaking albums; helping to start a new genera and influencing millions!

Here is what singer/co founder of D.R.I. Kurt Brecht had to say about this occasion….

If you had asked me 28 years ago, “Where do you see yourself in 28 years?”
I probably would have said, “I don’t know?”
And that is part of the beauty of life. You don’t know…you NEVER know.
Fortunately for D.R.I. we had the freedom to carve out a niche in a place out of bounds for many people, a place on the outskirts of society. We formed a Hardcore band in Houston, Texas, even though it was, at that time, a straight road to poverty.
We took a chance because we all wanted to travel and meet new people. We wanted to play shows with all the bands we listened to and read about but had never seen. We loved the music, the people and the lifestyle. With the help of our fans we accomplished and continue to accomplish our mission on a regular basis.

So check our website for upcoming shows in your area. It has been a busy year for us so far with more shows being added every day. The re-release of Crossover just came out on Beer City Records as well. Thanks for a great 28 years! See You In The Pit!”

Here is another local Milwaukee band that we just reissued their full length in digital. This would be ‘Sacred Order’ part II. Part two being that in 85 the band had changed a few members and wrote some brand new songs. Part II also had more of a punk/ mid 80’s beach core sound then their previous lineup that played a combo of punk, hardcore and had obnoxious lyrics.

This was originally released on ‘Mystic’ a few years after the band recorded it and broke up. The sound on it was a bit flat and ‘Mystic’ lost the original artwork and the album just kinda fell into obscurity until now.

We took this and remastered it and the results are very good. Not to mention we came up with a cover that everyone was happy with. This like all of our releases is available on iTunes. Just click the link below to buy it.

New digital releases!

We just put up two new digital releases/reissues by two local Wisconsin bands from back in the 80’s.

The first one is Imminent Attack -Greatest Misses, 1981 to 1986.
‘ Imminent Attack’ was a hardcore/ punk and latter thrash band; from Madison Wisconsin. This release compiles all the stuff they put out minus a 7″ that was released in the very end with a different lineup.

The next release is Self Gratifukation – Hangin’ It Out To Dry.
‘Self Gratifukation’ was a local Milwaukee hardcore/punk band. They only did one self released cassette back in the day. Recently a live recording was found with some songs the band never recorded in studio. So we took the songs from the cassette and added the live songs and there you have it a new release/ reissue.

Both release were remastered and touched up as much as possible. ‘Imminent Attack’ was actually painstakingly remastered practically note by note by their rythym guitar player Mike Hunsberger. Talk about dedication!

Were happy to announce that the street date for the highly anticipated reissue of D.R.I. ‘ s classic ‘Crossover’ full length is April 13th 2010! The reissue will be coming out on LP ,CD and digital. The CD and digital includes not only the original 13 tracks , but also 11 bonus tracks. To make matters even better the whole thing was remastered by Bill Metoyer. The original engineer on the full length. So it sounds bad ass! If you just cant wait for the CD and LP to be out you can buy it right now on itunes by clicking this button..
